Product Data Storage with Jira Assets: Using Jira Assets (available in JSM Premium), you can store and organise product data including product types, product codes, prices, and tax rates within a structured database. This centralised data source ensures accurate, real-time pricing and simplifies quote generation.
Automated Quote Creation in JSM: Jira Automation, custom fields and product data are automatically processed and formatted for quotes. When a quote or invoice needs to be generated, the system pulls data from Jira Assets, calculates totals, applies tax and prepares the necessary details to send to Zapier in a structured JSON format.
Zapier Integration for Workflow Automation: With Zapier, data flows seamlessly between JSM and Xero. When a quote or invoice is ready, a webhook from JSM triggers Zapier to send the information to Xero, automatically generating a quote or invoice. This setup reduces errors and ensures consistent, up-to-date information across platforms.
Xero API for Final Quote and Invoice Processing: Using Xero’s API, Zapier completes the invoice or quote creation in Xero and can even generate a PDF version for easy distribution. Xero’s built-in triggers allow for automated follow-ups on unpaid invoices, keeping cash flow steady without manual reminders.
