Atlassian Team ’25 Europe in Barcelona showcased a wave of innovation focused on one clear theme: AI for everyone. Atlassian is extending the power of Rovo, its AI teammate, across every product, helping teams move beyond individual productivity to organisation-wide intelligence.

In this post, we’re sharing a quick snapshot of the announcements that stood out. We’ll be unpacking many of these updates in more detail at our event in Sydney next week.

A Smarter, Scalable Platform

One of the headline updates was Confluence’s expanded scale, now supporting up to 250,000 users and 11 data residency regions. This marks a major milestone in making Atlassian’s collaboration platform more global, secure, and enterprise-ready.

New Collections for Every Team

Building on the success of the Teamwork Collection, Atlassian announced several new collections designed to bring the right tools together for different business functions.

Service Collection

Focused on enhancing customer support and service delivery, this new bundle introduces Customer Service Management (CSM); an AI-powered app built to complement Jira Service Management. CSM gives service teams deeper context and smarter insights, including support for video calls and automated ticket creation through Amazon’s services.

Software Collection

Developers are getting an AI-native software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) with the new Software Collection, featuring Rovo Dev and DX.

  • Rovo Dev streamlines work across Jira, VS Code, Bitbucket, and GitHub, enabling natural language builds, automated code reviews, and faster troubleshooting.
  • DX helps engineering leaders measure and improve productivity through data-informed insights.

Strategy Collection

Enterprise teams using Atlassian Align now gain access to Focus and Talent, bundled at no additional cost as part of the new Strategy Collection. This package helps organisations align strategy, people, and outcomes more effectively.

Product and Platform Enhancements

Units (Coming Early 2026)

A new concept called Units will allow organisations to separate user directories, apps, and context into smaller, more relevant groups. This improves permissions, relevance, and data accuracy within Rovo’s teamwork graph.

Upgraded Admin Experience

Admins will benefit from a refreshed UI with global navigation, improved accessibility, and a cleaner look across Atlassian Cloud.

Rovo Dev (Now Generally Available)

Teams can now move directly from Jira work items to implementation-ready code. Rovo Dev enables multi-step workflows, generates code plans, and automates tasks at scale using AI.

Studio Enhancements

Rovo Studio continues to evolve rapidly with new capabilities:

  • Rovo Skills for building reusable AI actions
  • Agent triggers and advanced orchestration
  • Improved governance and Forge app generation through natural language

Rovo Create (Beta Launch in November)

Rovo Create will soon allow teams to generate Confluence pages and whiteboards using natural language prompts. The new Rovo Canvas provides a live, editable draft view alongside chat interactions, combining AI assistance with human oversight.

Rovo Everywhere

Rovo is now embedded across even more Atlassian apps and available on Standard Plans. Its growing list of over 50 connectors now includes integrations with Google Drive, Figma, GitHub, and Microsoft Teams. Users can also build custom connectors via Forge or install them from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Beyond that, Rovo is becoming smarter with personal memory, adapting to each user’s preferences, and expanding to mobile and desktop, offering voice interactions and contextual search.

Other Notable Updates

  • Jira introduces custom onboarding, approval steps in workflows, and work item creation from images or chat messages.
  • Atlassian also revealed that Jira projects are now becoming Jira Spaces, signalling a broader evolution of how teams collaborate and organise work.

The Takeaway

Atlassian Team ’25 Europe highlighted how AI is reshaping the way teams collaborate, plan, and deliver. From smarter service experiences to AI-driven software development, Atlassian continues to connect every part of work through Rovo.

We’ve only scratched the surface here. Join us at our Sydney event next week where we’ll dive deeper into the most impactful announcements and what they mean for your teams.
